Erica Procunier is a Canadian film composer and pianist. Her credits include scores for over forty film, television, theatre, advertisement and video game productions. Her films have screened worldwide, claiming multiple international awards. She has most recently been commissioned by the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and the Toronto International Film Festival to compose a live film score to celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday. The commissioned film titled DAM! The Story of Kit the Beaver premiered in February 2017 live in concert with the TSO and will tour across Canada to be performed by other Canadian orchestras in 2017.
Erica recently scored the film Mariner, which was an official selection of the Canada’s Top Ten Film Festival and the Toronto International Film Festival 2016. Erica has received two SOCAN Foundation Awards for Young Audio Visual Composers for her scores, and her music has been licensed to a variety of television shows worldwide.
Erica was selected as a composer resident for the Canadian Film Centre’s Slaight Family Music Lab 2013-2014, and is an active member on the board of directors for the Screen Composers Guild of Canada. Erica holds a Masters of Music Composition for Western University.
